From Closet Dreams to Restful Retreats: Bedrooms Transformed

Bedrooms are where design meets the most personal side of living.

In this transformation, every room was created with a clear purpose for our client: function, flexibility and a personal sanctuary.

A Walk-In Closet Designed for Everyday Ease

We transformed what was once a standard bedroom into a walk-in closet tailored to carry everything our client needs with ease. As our client shared in her brief, “lots of storage in walk-in for clothes and shoes” was the priority, and every detail was created with that in mind.

We combined Ikea Pax cabinet frames and inserts with custom built-in cabinetry for both function and flow. We customized the cabinet doors with tempered glass inserts, allowing her to easily see what’s inside while keeping the overall look elevated. Above the cabinets, we made sure there was dedicated storage for luggage, maximizing every inch from floor to ceiling. We also added a movable drawer unit for smaller accessories, giving her flexible storage that adapts to her needs.

To bring in a more personal touch, we installed a custom vanity mirror with lighting paired with a desk from Ikea that now serves as a vanity table. A customized ottoman with storage was made to match the table, balancing style and practicality. At the center, a round rug softens the space, giving the walk-in closet a boutique feel while keeping it cozy and inviting.

A Home Office That Doubles as a Guest Room

The second bedroom was designed as a dedicated home office for our client’s work-from-home days, with the flexibility to welcome guests when needed. We placed an Ikea Brimnes daybed that works as a comfortable seating by day and easily converts into a bed for overnight stays.

For the workspace, we set it up with a standing desk and an ergonomic swivel chair to support both focus and comfort. To keep the room clutter-free, we added a storage cabinet and placed overhead cabinets for extra storage without taking up floor space.

With natural light streaming in, the room feels bright and open, while warm tones from the wood finishes and furnishings add warmth and calm, making it both functional and inviting.

The Master Bedroom: A Personal Sanctuary

At the heart of the transformation, we designed the master bedroom to be a true retreat. We used earthy warm tones, soft textures, and thoughtful lighting to create an atmosphere of calm. Built-in storage was also integrated to maximize the space while keeping the room serene and uncluttered.

The headboard wall, finished in Boysen Macadamia Brown paint serves as an accent wall, grounding the room with warmth and depth. We designed a customized solid wood queen-size bed with an upholstered headboard, gives the space both presence and comfort, creating a centerpiece that feels refined yet inviting.

To bring in character and craftsmanship, we also customized the cabinet doors of the tall Ikea cabinet with solihiya inserts, blending modern function with a touch of Filipino detail. We also added solid wood shelves, providing space for display and storage while adding another natural element that ties into the room’s warm palette.

Soft, layered lighting enhances the atmosphere, shifting the room from a bright, functional space during the day to a calm retreat at night. To complete the sensory experience, we introduced a room diffuser with a subtle scent that fills the room with calm, making the master bedroom not only look serene but feel like a sanctuary. Finally, we dressed the bed in crisp hotel-like bedding, adding a layer of refinement that makes this space a place where our client can truly disconnect, recharge, and feel at ease.

Bringing It All Together

Each bedroom tells its own story: one of organization, another of flexibility, and another of sanctuary. Together, they create private spaces that support our client’s daily routines while offering comfort and retreat. These bedrooms are not just places to sleep. They are purposeful spaces that support the way life is lived each day.

Every corner of this home reflects balance, intention, and care. Earthy warm tones, solid wood, solihiya details, and layered soft furnishings are woven throughout, creating a sense of continuity and comfort. With these thoughtful details, the three-bedroom condo comes together as a home that feels cohesive, purposeful, and deeply personal.
